UPDATE #8

Good Morning one and all!!!

And welcome to Update #8!!

It's a goooood day TO-DAY!!!

I am in very good spirits this past week. Albeit a bit stressed. But good spirits nonetheless.

Why you ask??

No, it’s really because…

THE FHEPS VOUCHER WAS FINALLY APPROVEED!!!

I AM SO HAPPY!!!

The new amount is $2,217 for 3 people!!

Okay now as awesome as that is... The sad part is I can still only get a 2 bedroom. For me to have a 3 bedroom I need to have like 5 people living with me…. Doesn’t matter my kids are teens and opposite gender. Doesn’t matter that I have seizures and need my own space. I also must do PT at home and my table is NOT small. But none of those matters. Only my family size. Kinda sucky. They said I can try for a 3 bedroom if its at or under the amount given but, I still may be turned down… BUT IMA TRY ANYWAY!! I NEED A 3 BEDROOM!

But I’ve talked with my kids, and if I can only do a 2 bedroom, they understand. So, it may not be the dream place we wanted but it’ll be a better place.

I’ve been applying to MANY places. But getting a contact back is not really happening. Some never contact or want way too much for an application fee. Or they have a 160$ fee just to see the place. Or you say FHEPS and they *whooosh* Ghost you.

I also need an elevator building unless I’m on the 1ST-2ND floor. Somewhere that is renting with no broker fee since FHEPS only pays 50% of it. And somewhere that is pet friendly.

My cats are ESA’s and must be accepted anywhere but it makes it so much simpler if they just accept pets.

I want to be in a safe neighborhood that's not too far from my kids schools but that may not be possible and that really depresses me. I’m hoping I don’t have to change their schools. I really like the schools they’re in. I also need to be around transportation and shops.

But honestly, I just want out. My building manager has been the best during this whole thing and his is helping me as much as he can. Paperwork and getting information were a breeze. Thanks again!!! It's too bad there were no bigger apartments in the building I could've taken :(

Now for those wondering what ever happened to the ERAP??

Well, I have finally been PROVISIONALLY APPRVOED lol

I filed for ERAP DAY ONE. (In case you're wondering, that was June 01, 2021) Took them this long to get me this info. But that’s okay. I don’t mind wait. Thank you for your help. I really needed it.

Now moving on…

Well, it’s now on an OFFICAL HAITUS! <yes, this was the bad news>

Sad day I know, but, I need to pack and be ready to move asap.

I left my tablet out and will be working coloring pages and Sol (Slice of Life) comic, Uppers, Downers, and Alphabet Soup, for now up until I move.

With that being said, I am currently working on 2 new chapters for U.D.& A.S.

The first will showcase my updated self. I’ve been working hard on my mental and physical self. The first one shows off the physical! I’m thinking of calling it “Showcase”.

The next one as I stated before is about me getting the news on my updated voucher. Fittingly dubbed “Voucher.”

For now I’ll be celebrating 4-20 with my boyfriend by relaxing and watching TV; a nice lazy day. Then I’ll finish “Showcase” and “Voucher.”

But my main focus is finding an apartment ASAP!!!! I will draw and sketch but I will be running around, giving in paperwork, viewing apartments, and making calls. So if I take a while to get things out please bear with me. Thank you.

For those concerned about my health. I'm doing okay. My mental health is okay for now, I have some bad days but my kids and family are there for me. My seizures are still there but happily not as bad. Taking that mental and physical break really helped me out. There is a chance it may pick up due to the apartment hunt stress, but I'll be okay. My family has already offered to step in and make some calls and do some paper runs to help me out and lessen the stress. For now I'm taking it day by day. Thank you for your thoughts and concern. I really appreciate it.♥
